15. Crown Ambassador Reserve ($0.12 per ml)
That is not champagne you are looking at. But the Crown Ambassador Reserve beer is indeed bottled in a champagne bottle. It is not just for the sake of exclusivity, it also has something to do with its production.
Unlike most beers which are sold and consumed right after production, this Reserve beer was first aged in French oak for one year before it hit the market.
In addition to that, there were only 8,000 bottles were made in four iterations since 2008. Thus, it should come as no surprise that one 750-ml bottle of this Crown Ambassador Reserve is sold for $90. It makes it worth $0.12 per ml.
All I can say is that the Australian brewer really knows how to turn celebration-beverage around. By the way, has anybody done a shoey with this beer?
