Meet The Kid Who Hiked More Than 483km Before He Was Two Years Old
Who said you shouldn’t follow your dreams after you’ve had a baby? We’ve seen many couple with their toddlers traveling around the world, and each time we discover more.
For example, this couple hasn’t stopped hiking just because their son was born.
Unlike the most of us, this two-year-old kid has something to brag about. He has scaled the most spectacular mountains in the U.S. ever since he was 5-days-old.
Bodhi Bennett went on his first outdoor adventures when he was a newborn, with his parents.
He has hiked the mountains along with his 27-year-old mother, Shannon, who is currently pregnant with her second child, and his 29-year-old father Blake.
He has taken part in numerous climbs and adventure along with his mother and dad, and I’m sure he will thank them when he will be older.
Originally from Mammoth Lakes in California, Bodhi Bennett has seen many stunning sights such as Thousand Island Lake in the Sierra Nevada and Yosemite National Park.
So far, he has explored around 40 different US states and the majority of America’s national parks.
Since the boy was born, Mrs. Bennett has documented their hikes on Instagram, and gained thousands of followers in the process.
She said: ‘When I was pregnant with Bodhi it was important to my husband and I that our lives didn’t change because we were going to become parents.
‘We had heard so many times that children change your life completely and you can no longer do those fun things you did when you were younger.
‘But Bodhi climbs everything and really enjoys mimicking what we do.’
She added: ‘People are always incredibly pleased to see a child way out in the back country.
‘We’ve heard it so many times – people saying they have never seen such a young hiker before.
‘I don’t know if I’ve ever been so proud of anything in my life as I am when I witness his ability and determination.
‘I’m due to give birth in two weeks and have never felt stronger in my life – women should know anything is possible with the right mind set.’
The boy has a very special bond with his parents, especially with his father, with whom he enjoys traveling together, routing paths in the mountains. Check out the parents who have taken their kids sailing and see another example.
Would you follow this guys’ example and take your kid hiking? I mean why wouldn’t you? That kid is going to have amazing memories when he will be older.
