This Rolls-Royce Might be The Most Expensive New Car Ever Built And We Love it

This Rolls-Royce Sweptail Pays Homage to the World of Racing Yachts

Rolls-Royce Sweptail pays homage to the world of racing yachts with its new car and we can’t help but love it!

Called Sweptail, Rolls-Royce’s new car is here to fulfill the dreams of every car lover.

The company released the car at Villa d’Este for Concorso as the largest of any modern era Rolls-Royce.

Milled from solid aluminum, the Sweptail evokes the drama of the swept-tail Rolls-Royce old yachts.

“Sweptail is the automotive equivalent of Haute Couture. You might say we cut the cloth for the suit of clothes that he will be judged by.” says director of Rolls-Royce design Giles Taylor.

A car lover, and connoisseur of super cars, knows what kind of car this is.

While it is not as pricey as the most expensive car in the world, this Rolls-Royce has a price tag of nearly $13 million.

“It is a Rolls-Royce designed and hand-tailored to fit a specific customer.”

How long it took to built the car?

After four years of work, they designed one of the most beautiful production cars in the world.

According to the company, a while back a customer approached them and asked to design a unique motor car inspired by the luxury yachts of the 1920s and 1930s.

“Our job was to guide, edit and finely hone the lines that would ultimately give our client this most perfect of Rolls-Royces,” says Taylor.

What makes this car unique is the fact that it features a single-piece glass roof that tapers into the car’s fastback rear end.

It is a definitive touch that dominates the car’s looks.

“Sweptail exudes the romance of travel for its own sake,” says Torsten Müller-Ötvös, CEO at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

“And immediately places Sweptail in the pantheon of the world’s great intercontinental tourers. It is proof that Rolls-Royce is at the pinnacle of coachbuilding.”

What kind of specs we talking about?

However, we don’t know yet the specs of the car, but the current generation Phantom platform could be its base.

That would mean that this Sweptail might be some version of the company’s 6.75-liter V-12 engine.

What kind of engine do you think this car has under its hood?
