This LEGO 720s McLaren Speed Champion Set is the Only McLaren We Can All Afford
The LEGO 720s McLaren Speed Champion set is the new addition to the LEGO portfolio, and will make everyone fall in love with.
The new McLaren 720s is one of the latest models created by the luxurious car manufacturer, and now comes in a LEGO form as the latest addition to the Speed Champions package.
The set, which joins the P1, includes the 720s finished in Azores Orange as well as the car that inspired the mini figurine.
The package also comes with a design studio desk that has its own coffee cup, original design sketch and 3D-printed “model car”.
“The Lego interpretation of the McLaren 720S reflects the most exciting part of the design process, when a two-dimensional sketch is transformed into a physical, three-dimensional model.
“Building a model like this gives the next generation of McLaren enthusiasts a taste of just how exhilarating that moment is for designers,” said Rob Melville, chief designer at McLaren Automotive.
The car, which has been recently released at Geneva Motors Show, is the second-generation Super Series model. This McLaren is powered by a 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 that outputs 720 PS and 77 Nm of torque, and goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 341 km/h.
Its shape is made to allow maximum aerodynamic performance, and the mini figurine also employs the brand’s new carbon fiber tub and upper structure dubbed Monocage II.
Builders aged 7+ and supercar lovers alike can show off their skills to build this model, which will be available to buy from 1st June 2017.
Be warned! In order to build this aerodynamically shrink-wrapped, sculpted body shape of this awesome LEGO model, imagination and complexity are required.
In the United Kingdom, this LEGO Speed Champions McLaren 720s will be available for £12.99. When it comes to the real deal, the car has a price tag starting at £208,600.
