For the apartment at 443 Greenwich Street the actor, who is famous for his role in Donnie Darko, paid around $9 million.
However, the model apartment is not the same as Gyllenhaal’s apartment.
He chose to move to 443 Greenwich Street where other famous people live because the building known for its paparazzi proof is like heaven for some celebrities.
The celebrity heaven where they can live without any paparazzi bothering them had a lot of promotion. Maybe that’s why another major celeb has signed on to own an apartment in the building.
According to The Real Deal Jake Gyllenhaal is the latest celeb to have purchased an apartment there.
Like the other celebs, such as Meg Ryan and Justin Timberlake, who purchased a place at the 1880s book bindery-turned-luxury condo, Jake paid a lot of money for his place.
The actor bought the 2,600-square-foot condo with an anonymous LLC. He wished to remain anonymous, but the sleuths at TRD traced it back to him.
How do we know he bought the place?
Back then he used the Woodrow Trust Shield to previously purchase his Woodrow Wilson Drive home in the Hollywood Hills.
His new apartment features an open floorplan, three bedrooms, and three and a half baths.
Before he purchased the apartment for $8,631,046.13, the place used to be on the market for $8.55 million. The property went into contract in October 2016, according to listing records on StreetEasy.
Developer Nathan Berman, who converted the property from a book bindery to high-end condos, previously declined comment on purchasers, but said that 90 percent of the buyers at the former book bindery turned condo building are “household names.”
He gets to enjoy all the amenities of the property such as a 24-hour doorman, a 24-hour concierge, and a valet and live-in resident manager.
But there is also a 71-foot indoor swimming pool, a Turkish spa room, a wine cellar, fitness center and many other awesome features.
