Give Your Kitchen a Total Makeover with Dolce & Gabbana’s Line of Colorful Kitchen Appliances!
Dolce & Gabbana’s line of colorful kitchen appliances is designed in collaboration with luxury appliance brand Smeg.
We are used to D&G’s line of luxury clothes designed with of the most interesting patters, but it turns out that now the Italian fashion house is also designing kitchen appliances!
Dolce & Gabbana, in partnership with Smeg, created a line of custom toasters, blenders, juicers, and pretty much everything one needs for their kitchen.
Inspired by traditional Sicilian folklore, the colorful appliances feature fruits, birds, and floral motifs.
As expected, there is a catch. The official prices for this one-of-a-kind collection have not been released yet, but everyone is expecting that each appliance will sell for thousands, even tens of thousands, of dollars.
This is not the first time the two companies have partnered, with the line of 100 hand-painted refrigerators that sold for $34,000 each, being the first time.
The collection of kitchen appliances comes right when you needed to makeover your old kitchen! You should really take a moment and thank Dolce & Gabbana for making your couture kitchen dreams come true.
The company, in the statement released last month, announced their fans that they will team up with Italian appliance manufacturer Smeg to create a different kind of line of kitchen appliances, which will be released this fall.
Titled, Sicily Is My Love, the partnership between the two brands mixes Smeg’s retro appliances with D&G’s colorful, flowing designs.
The brand describes the collaboration as being ‘intrinsically tied to Sicily and the important aspects of the aesthetic of [the designers].’ That’s because both Domenico and Stefano Gabbana have strong ties to Sicily.
The designers revealed that the vibrant motifs were inspired by Southern Italian folklore, with Sicilian fruits, flowers, beaches, and animals all present in the collection.
This collaboration between Dolce & Gabbana and Smeg is not scheduled to hit shelves until fall of 2017, which is enough time for you to start saving.
