The seats are accessible through giant suicide doors – a feature that only appears in a concept car, and is surely not going into the final production.
Bold, Unique Design
From a design point of view, Citroen CXPerience Concept boasts some interesting aspects, plus rather innovative wheels.
With the stylish front end, Citroen CXPerience Concept seems to be inspired by the high-tech world. In particular, the narrow grille and slim signature headlights, make its front ‘flat-nose’ stand out.
It’s also worth mentioning the concave rear window, and a ‘mobile fin’ , which lifts at speed. They truly grab much attention.
Hi-Tech, Saves Energy, Provides Comfort
On the technical side, Citroen CXPerience Concept comes with a plug-in hybrid powertrain which improves the efficiency and performance.
Apart from that, movable flaps on front corners, open and close automatically in order to enhance the aerodynamic performance. These movable flaps also help improve maneuverability of the car.
Furthermore, an advanced module using progressive hydraulic cushions, isolates the passengers from the dips and bumps of the outside world.
Yellowish Fresh Citrus Optimism
The rear doors are hinged on the rear edge, and open backward to show off the stunning interior. However the front doors open forward in a conventional manner. While open, the doors make a full 90-degree angle with respect to the bodywork.
Turning to the interior, citrus yellow fabric inset creates a fresh optimistic feel. The backrests and the dashboard feature textured walnut wood which adds to the elegance of the ambiance.
As can be seen, right in the middle of the dashboard, there is a large 19-inch rectangular touchscreen. Working as the car control center, this screen manages the onboard functions such as navigation and air conditioning.
Plug-in Hybrid Powertrain
Power comes from a plug-in hybrid powertrain, consisting of a gasoline engine and an electric motor. The former produces between 150 and 200 bhp, while the latter provides additional energy of 80 kW.
In the city, Citroën CXPerience Concept can switch to all-electric-mode with a range of 60 km.
However, on the open road, the integration of the two forms of energy coming from the combustion engine and electric motor, minimizes the fuel consumption.
And finally, on the motorway, the combustion engine becomes dominant, generating a total power of 300 bhp.
