There are no buyers yet for this $12.5M Brooklyn Luxury Mansion with a Mafia-related past

Miami, LA or Florida? None! Unbelievably this Bonkers Mill Basin mansion is actually in Brooklyn and just re-hit the market for $12.5 million dollars

The extravagant Bonkers Mill Basin mansion hit the market again, this time for less than half of its initial price. Apparently, it has been somewhat difficult to find a buyer for this luxury mansion, which was once the most expensive home in Brooklyn in 2013.

The compound was initially built by John Rosatti, the super wealthy mobster in NYC in the early 1990s, who had connections to the Colombo crime family.

Since money was no concern for Rosatti, he built his dream home lavishly on the best lot he could find in Brooklyn’s Mill Basin.

Rosatti sold his beloved house to Galina Anissimova , ex-wife of a Russian billionaire, for $3 million in 1996.

Ever since, Bonkers Mill Basin mansion has been the passion project of Galina Anissimova. According to her broker, she has been spending much more than the current price of the house, on renovations.

A design work of Noel Jeffrey, the oligarch’s estate has turned into a valuable gem after 20 years of reconstruction. The 1,000 square feet outdoor pool is bigger than many apartments in Brooklyn.

Beside the swimming pool, there is a gigantic pavilion that seats 50 people for outdoor parties. Furthermore, 30,000 square feet of architectural gardens around the pool, begs for attention of the guests.

Seller has shed both an adjacent house and $4.5 million

Originally, the property had two duplex houses sprawling 23,000 square feet. Namely, the 15,000 square feet main house and the neighboring home at 8,000 square feet.

$30 million in 2013, $17 million at the beginning of this year, and now the price drops precipitously to $12.5 million.

However, this $12.5 million does not include the guest house adjacent to the main compound anymore. Seemingly, the seller has woken up to the fact that it’s not easy to find a buyer for a Miami-style costly mansion in Brooklyn, let alone two.

State-of-the-art interior in shades of cream and beige

Behind the large flashy entrance, extremely modern custom interior spaces are hidden. The hotel-like interiors are in cream and beige shades.

Also, the extraordinary designed meditation room is a circular fancy area, with a marvelous skylight above.

The outstanding use of bright white shiny ceilings, together with marble floors, creates a majestic ambiance.

It’s worth mentioning that every room has a peaceful outlook onto the water.

As can be seen, double-height ceilings and giant floor-to-ceiling windows allow for stunning views across the Jamaica bay.

The estate also has 257 feet of Jamaica Bay frontage, and two boat docks.

Particularly, this could be a dream house for a wealthy person who lives in Manhattan and wishes to buy this mansion as a close, weekend play house to park his yacht.
