I always love a great luxurious retreat or getaway and since we’ve started here on Ealuxe we had a couple of awesome examples. Today we are going to Truro, Massachusetts to visit another unique getaway surrounded by woodland designed by Hammer Architects.

As I said earlier the North Pamet Ridge House is surrounded by woodland and the home was built because of the owner’s desire to have a weekend retreat. the residence is a two story one, featuring four awesome bedrooms a single floor living and an abundance of natural light.

The North Pamet Ridge House is specially designed with the guest rooms on the ground level and the master bedroom and the living spaces above. One will say that this is an upside-down architectural style.

” The simple shape with its nine and twelve gable roof can be viewed as an extruded Cape Cod cottage while the exposed wood structure recalls rustic cabins. ”

The surrounding views and the outdoor spaces are used at their full capacities because of the extensive use of glass. ” The end of the form opens to a screened in porch, which is accessed via a large sliding glass wall that is concealed behind the fireplace when open. This transition further blurs the distinction between inside and outside. ”

The Hammer Architects is an architectural firm founded by Mark Hammer and their list of projects include types like vacation homes, residential, commercial and academic buildings, waterfront homes and many more.
