14. Rolex Daytona 6269 ($445,000)
Last year, Phillips auction house celebrated its return to watch-auction. During the event, numerous luxury watches were auctioned, including this Rolex Daytona 6269.
The watch’s diamond-set bezel and dial scream luxury all at once. The bezel is set with 48 brilliant-cut diamonds. And the dial is covered with 240 round-cut diamonds. Even without the Rolex brand, it is pretty exclusive just because of those diamonds.
This particular Rolex Daytona 6269, which was auctioned at Phillips, seemed to be a collectible piece. It didn’t show any sign of being worn by the previous owner.
Sold at £340,900 (approximately $445,000), this watch was among the top ten most expensive watches sold at that auction. And it is the 14th most expensive Rolex watch ever sold.
