For $150k you can get the Launch Version of Jet Capsule and we can’t help but wonder who would buy such thing?
This mini yacht prototype designed by Italian company Lazzarini, has gotten a lot of attention around the world when it was launched back in 2013.
And it got the same recognition when the smaller and faster Reptile version came out this year. Once a new version will be launched in 2016, the history might repeat itself.
The 2016 Jet Capsule by Lazzarini was designed as a personal watercraft of a water craft. It features a full carbon body and photochromic windows, not forget about the rooftop sundeck for passengers to relax on.
The interior of the cabin has the driver’s controllers but also has views of rear and underwater cameras.
While air conditioning, a heater, seating, tables and a toilet are completing the capsule features.
The future owners of the Jet Cabin can choose one of the various engine configurations. They will have to choose among the ones with petrol and diesel engines which are available in either a single or dual setup.
Total power outputs range from 370 hp (276 kW) up to 600 hp (447 kW), which means that the maximum achievable speed is 38 knots (44 mph or 71 km/h).
The Lazzarini Jet Capsule packs a Yanmar engine and HamiltonJet hydrojet engine capable of powering the lightweight fiberglass and carbon fiber capsule to a maximum speed of 44mph (38 knots), controlled with a technologically advanced helm protected by the aerodynamically shaped photochromatic windows.
The owners can invite 12 guests, not including the pilot, to part with them on the egg-shaped yacht.
The new Jet Capsule is already available to order, and US$150,000 might just get you your favorite vessel five months after being made.
Lazzarini says these dimensions make the craft twice as wide as others with a comparable length.
In addition to these standard features, buyers can choose a range of additional features and options, including Armoured, Diving, Party, and Emergency capsule packages.
