14. Superbike
Let’s get going with the engine!
First up, we have a Red Bull motorcycle from the Superbike racing championship. Just like MotoGP, it is a motor racing event held across the world. However, unlike MotoGP which motorcycles are custom made for the race, the motorcycle used in this event is the manufacturer’s standard production model.
That means it is available for public purchase. It goes along with the Superbike’s slogan, “Win on Sunday, sell on Monday.”
Thus, all Superbike motorcycles must have four-stroke engines of between 850 cc and 1200 cc for twins, and between 750 cc and 1000 cc for four cylinder machines.
Red Bull sponsors some American Superbike riders such as Ben Bostrom and Jake Zemke; and British Super bike riders such as Jonathan Rea and Eugene Laverty.
