Luxurious French Regency Estate Where Elvis Presley Lived Hit the Market for $30M
Luxurious French Regency Estate where Elvis Presley lived is currently on sale with a price tag of $30 million. Would you buy it?
We all know that houses flip quickly if they belonged to a famous celebrity, but this house had two previous, very famous, owners. Among its former owners are The King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley and founder of Hard Rock Café, Peter Morton.
With plenty of homes owned by celebrities in Beverly Hills why would you want this house? It is because The King himself lived there.
The property was last sold for $15 million by an unknown buyer and then-owner Peter Morton. He was going to demolish the 1958 house, but fans of Presley presented objections that prevented Morton’s plan and he put it on the market in 2014.
Elvis Presley and his wife Priscilla bought the Beverly Hills estate located at 1174 Hillcrest Road in 1967 for $400,000.
The Presley family lived there for six years with their daughter, Lisa Marie Presley.
According to the current listing, managed by luxury real-estate brokerage firm The Agency, extensive renovations have been carried out by the property’s current owner.
A long driveway and four-car motor court lead to the estate, situated in a quiet cul-de-sac within the exclusive Trousdale Estates community.
Currently still on the market, the 5,367-square-foot residence has three bedrooms, and other interior spaces which feature floor-to-ceiling windows that let the natural light in and open out to boast city-to-ocean views.
Contemporary updates include stainless-steel kitchen appliances, an added laundry room, and upgraded electrics.
The listing says: ‘Ample outdoor lounging and entertaining space is offered throughout a large patio featuring a fireplace, resurfaced pool and spa, and lush lawns, set against breathtaking panoramic vistas.’
‘Only minutes from the best shopping, dining and entertainment of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood, 1174 N. Hillcrest Road presents an unrivaled opportunity to tailor and personalize a magnificent view estate.’
Well, would you want to live in Elvis Presley’s former home?
