Stella McCartney Net Worth: How rich is Stella McCartney? & How much money is Stella McCartney worth? Time to find out!

Stella McCartney is an English fashion designer and her current net worth is $85 million.

The second child of Beatle Paul McCartney and American photographer Linda McCartney, born in Lambeth, London, is a famous fashion designer.

Growing up, she used to travel with her parents and their group Wings, along with her siblings.

According to Paul McCartney, inspired by Stella’s difficult birth they came up with the name Wings.

While her mother gave birth to her by emergency caesarean section, her father sat outside the operating room and prayed that she be born “on the wings of an angel.”

Her parents wanted her and her siblings to lead a normal life, despite their fame. The children went to local state school in East Sussex, like Bexhill College.

Stella started to show interest in fashion as a young girl. She designed her first jacket at age 13.

At sixteen years old, she became an intern for Christian Lacroix, working on her first haute couture collection. While working for Edward Sexton, her father’s Savile Row tailor for a couple of years, she perfected her skills.

She studied the basic of fashion at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication. Later she went to Fashion Design at Central Saint Martins, from where she graduated in 1995.

Supermodels like Naomi Campbell, Yasmin Le Bon and Kate Moss, modeled her graduation collection, for free.

The collection quickly picked up by newspapers, and sold to Tokyo, and a London boutique.

She designed her sister Mary’s wedding dress for her wedding in 1998.

The American fashion designer is a lifelong vegetarian and doesn’t use any leather or fur in her designs.

McCartney is a PETA supporter and some of her designs even showcase text that says is suitable for vegetarians.

But she does use wool, silk and other animal-derived fabrics in her designs.

She launched her own fashion house under her name in a collaboration venture with Gucci Group, now Kering, and launched her first collection in Paris.

Her company now has 17 freestanding stores all over the world, including including Manhattan’s Soho, London’s Mayfair, LA’s West Hollywood, Paris’ Palais Royal, Barcelona’s Passeig de Gracia and Milan. It recently opened doors in Rome, Miami and Houston.

Now distributed in over 50 countries, through 600 wholesale accounts, she added to her collection a perfume, Stella, and a skincare line, CARE.

Along her perfume and skincare line, she launched a lingerie line, and menswear collection.

She designed the clothes for Madonna’s Re-Invention Tour, Annie Lennox’s summer tour, and Gwyneth Paltrow‘s and Jude Law’s costumes for the film Sky Captain and The World of Tomorrow. As well as launching a joint venture with Adidas, and designed some clothes and accessories for other brands, like H&M.

Since starting her own label, McCartney has also collaborated on projects with several artists including Gary Hume, R. Crumb, Jeff Koons, David Remfry and Ed Ruscha, among others.

In 2003, McCartney married British publisher Alasdhair Willis, to whom she has four children.
