Facebook’s First 250 Employees Discuss What’s like to Be Rich in A Secret Group

Did you know that there’s a Facebook’s First 250 Employees Secret Group where they talk which yachts, Bansky arts, and tropical islands to buy?

Yes, that is real! That’s the secret group where tech millionaires talk about what they want to buy next.

And because everyone knows that the people working in tech earn a lot of money, they can afford buying fancy expensive things. But where to post about their newest acquisitions than on Facebook?

Yes, but they can’t really make a post saying they just bought a $12 million dollars yacht without anyone saying something mean.

That’s no longer the case here because Facebook’s first 250 employees created a secret group on Facebook where they can discuss all about their newest acquisitions without being judged by anyone.

Just like an anonymous person said for The New York Times: “If someone buys a fancy car and posts a picture of it, they get ridiculed and berated”. So, we kind of understand the mastermind behind this secret group.

There you can just be yourself and discuss with your millionaire friend what kind of yacht, private island or jet to buy next.

The group that was talking about is called T.N.R 250, short for The Nouveau Riche 250, which has as members Facebook’s first 250 employees.

They can now afford to discuss about pricey things, because after the Facebook went public, they became millionaires.

The T.N.R 250 discusses about pros and cons of buying boats, planes, Bansky portraits and other art, and tropical islands.

Don’t worry if you haven’t heard about the group until now, because all its activity has been kept behind closed doors and kept far away from any social networks, excluding Facebook, of course.

We got to find out about the group because of Nick Bilton, who wrote about the secret elite group for Vanity Fair.

Somehow he discovered that the members use the group to discuss what they want to do with the money they have saved since Facebook has grown.

You know what’s the best part about this group? That is not actually on Facebook, because that would spoil the illusion many in Silicon Valley are working to maintain, that they don’t care about the money at all.

It is basically a wishlist for rich people, but compared to you, they are making their wishes come true. Check out these facts you didn’t know about Facebook!

Would you like to be a part of the now not so secret group? What do you think about it?
