Zaha Hadid’s Latest Project is a New York Building With Robot Valets and private IMAX Theater
Zaha Hadid’s latest project is a New York building that features robot valets and private IMAX Theater!
This is not the first time we’ve featured a building designed by one of the most visionary architects of our time, Zaha Hadid, here on Alux.
You already know that we love her work, and since she died at age 65 in March 2016 the world has lost another brilliant person.
Throughout her career, she created some of the best museums, condos, stadiums, and pavilions. Before she died she wanted to finish designing a luxury condo complex over the High Line, Manhattan’s famed elevated park.
Her latest project, the condo building, will feature an incredible design with an intricate metal and glass façade sculpted piece by piece.
The interior of the condo will feature a parking garage with an automatic valet system and the city’s first private 3D IMAX Theater.
Before she passed away she wanted to make sure we are left with some of her best works and this project is surely among the best she ever did.
The architect was known for her curvaceous incredible buildings and this residence boasts her signature style.
The stainless metal exterior wraps around to form an L-shape, just like we used to see coming from her.
To proper build the curves, each panel of cladding was laser-cut.
The 135-foot-tall building is located at 520 West 28th Street on Manhattan’s far west side, which is a $20 billion neighborhood set to open in 2024.
Hadid’s latest project will serve as a testament to her creative vision. She was the first woman and Muslim to win the Pritzker Prize, changed the industry forever with her futuristic buildings; world lost a brilliant person.
What do you think of her latest project? What about the robot valets?
