Eminem was born in in St. Joseph, Missouri, as the only child of Marshall Bruce Mathers and Deborah Rae Nelson, and both were in a band called Daddy Warbucks, playing in Ramada Inns along the Dakotas- Montana border before their separation.
Growing up, he and his mom were moving a lot between Michigan and Missouri rarely staying in a house for more than a year or two and living mostly with family members.
