With that money-making machine on his hand, it should come as no surprise that Michael Bloomberg is one of the top 10 richest human in the world.
Forbes ranked him as the 8th richest billionaire with $47.4 billion of estimated net worth in his bag. Probably 99.9% of them he got from Bloomberg L.P., obviously. This company is generating around $9 billion a year.
If you think he was making extra money when he was a Mayor, you are wrong. He was probably losing more money than what he was making.
A Mayor in the United States is paid around $225,000. But Bloomberg was a Dollar-a-year-man. He received only $1 of salary, like many notable politician and CEO do. Among them are John F. Kennedy, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, and supposedly the current US President, Donald Trump.
