15 Most Expensive Beers In The World

14. Tutankhamun Ale ($0.15 per ml)

Yep, you read it right. Tutankhamun’s name is not just known as one of the most luxurious graves ever built where they found the most expensive artifact, but also one of the most expensive beers. Let’s find out the story behind this name.

If you think this may be what King Tut was drinking (if the ancient Egypt allows under-age drinking), you may be right. This beer was made based on the ancient beer residue found beneath the Egyptian sand.

Scientists and brewer Jim Merrington researched on the residue which dates back to thousands of years ago. Then long story short, they came up with this beer.

When it was first produced, they sold one 500-ml bottle for more than $7,500. Now, it is only $75, making it worth $0.15 per ml only. However, it made it to our top-fifteen list anyway.
