Jay-Z Acquires Armand de Brignac Champagne Brand
Earlier this week Jay-Z finalized the acquisition of Brignac Chmapagne from New York-based spirits and wine company Sovereign Brands for an undisclosed amount.
The spokesperson of Sovereign told New York Times in an interview that the Rapper & Entrepreneur “made us an offer we simply couldn’t refuse”.
Available world-wide, the luxury champagne brand Armand de Brignac also known as “Ace of Spades” is being produced by an 8-member team in the French town of Chigny-Les-Roses. The bottles retail for $300 a pop, but can go as high as $200,000 if you were to buy a 30-liter bottle made of gold.
Best selling rapped, fashion & media mogul, sports agent, real-estate investor and now champagne maker, is worth $550 Million and is expected to enter the Billionaires Boys Club by the time he retires.
Shawn Carter endorsed the product several times in his videos and was known to love the brand. Back in 2012, Jay-Z together with his lovely wife, Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, held a fund-raiser for current president Barack Obama that showcased a tower of 350 Armand de Brignac bottles. Ace of Spade’s popularity grows beyond rappers being the preferred luxury drink in high end clubs, frequented by affluent individuals and has become a symbol of success celebration.
The brand was founded back in 1763 by the Cattier House and it has a long tradition of only serving the finest champagne there is.
Jay Z has proven himself countless times as an extraordinaire investor and managed to grew his net worth and personal brand to the position that he finds himself in right now. He always managed to synergize between his brands in order to gain even more traction and perpetuate his wealth.
The brand has become a lot more visible to the right type of audience in the recent years and Mr. Carter’s investment is expected to make him a great return over the long run.
