13. Ceasefire?
Terrorism does seem like the worst kind to destroy peace in the world. But there is something equally threatening if not more dangerous than that. The war between two nations or oppositions can be so devastating. Because it is easy to form an alliance against terrorist. But against other righteous group or nation? Who are we to judge?
Ceasefire is the best thing can be done to prevent the war from going down. But the war still occurs in many different ways. Some are visible, some are not.
In April 2nd, almost two hundred people were killed when this ceasefire attempt was breached. It was between the military of Armenia and Azerbaijan. And it was the worst casualty between the two since 1994.
In the other hand, other ceasefires were declared in other parts of the world. Among them are between Syria’s government and opposition groups, Yemen’s government and Houthis rebels, and Colombian government and Farc rebels.
