The three pairs of Alexander McQueen’s Armadillo boots were auctioned off at Christine for charity.
All the percent gained from auctioning the oddly shaped footwear will be going to help out UNICEF.
The shoes have 12 inch heels and an armadillo silhouette, and are famous all around the world.
Where the shoes were seen first?
The pairs made headlines when they were debuted on the runways during the brand’s Spring/Summer 2010 “Plato Atlantis” show.
Only 21 pairs of the unique heels were ever made, because they were never mass produced.
This auction comes years after McQueen’s passing, when the brand decided to handcraft three new pairs to be auctioned off for a great cause.
All three pairs were handcrafted in Italy from wood and python skin.
All the percent of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to the charity for the Nepal relief efforts.
FN reported that the shoes had been sold for a combined $295,000 but it was not clear who had purchased them.
And who else was going to buy all three pairs than the McQueen’s biggest fan, Lady Gaga, who was also a great friend of the late designer.
She later revealed that her fiance has purchased the boots for her.
The pairs were bought for $295,000 (£190,000), by Gaga’s fiance Taylor Kinney. It seems that the Chicago Fire actor has found a way to the diva’s heart.
Mother Monster was so delighted by the gift that took some pictures and posted them on Instagram to show off her beloved new shoes.
The captions for the pictures were as follows:

Then, Gaga was spotted wearing the emerald green pair as she exited her New York City hotel and sported them for her performance on Sunday night with U2 at Madison Square Garden.
It comes as little surprise that Gaga’s fiance secured the winning bid; in 2012 she paid £85,250 for an Alexander McQueen gown owned by Daphne Guinness, creating a new world record for the designer.
