15 Most Expensive Signed Merchandise Pieces in the World

14. Jesse James’ Photograph – Sold for: $52,000

This Jesse James portrait taken by a Nashville photographer in 1876, according to the Library of Congress, was sold at Leslie Hindman Auctioneers in 2011 to an anonymous bidder.

Extremely rare, the photo was given to the auction house by James’ great granddaughter, and is thought to be the only one in existence, other than a signed portrait of James as a teenager.

Jesse James memorabilia is generally very popular at auction – his revolver sold for more than £1 million in 2013 – because he’s such a memorable figure in American history.
