This $300,000 McLaren 650s was torched for supporting Trump and we can’t handle it! This is really sad news that such a nice car as this was torched just because someone wanted to!
On December 10, fire investigators declared that a supercar was intentionally set on fire in Aberdeen.
That supercar was a 2015 McLaren 650 Spider that was reported on fire in front of 1040 Hardees Drive by the vehicle’s owner, according to a notice of investigation by the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
The fire department were called on the scene and brought the fire under control in about twenty minutes.
According to the investigations the fire started in the car’s interior passenger sit and was the result of ‘an unknown person breaking into the vehicle and igniting the interior with a road flare’.
The 206mph supercar wore the infamous “Make America great again” slogan in the form of vinyl detachable decals on both sides.
The Mclaren is also reported to be the same car that was publicized as the “Trumpmobile” on Facebook in recent times. As per the Baltimore Sun, investigators claim the owner’s bold support for President-elect Donald Trump as a potential motive to have it in flames.
The estimated value of the damages is $300,000, according to the notice of investigation. The law officers identified the car’s owners as Robert A Dicocco and Albert J. Dicocco.
Robert Dicocco, the car’s owner, said the man allegedly threatened Trump, as well as police officers, and that he considers the incident a “hate crime.”
The car had been used at shows and rallies around America, including at the National Rifle Association car show where it won best in show public vote, according to Dicocco.
In an email to The Baltimore Sun Dicocco wrote: “It always drew a crowd and we always had ‘spirited’ political conversations.”
The McLaren 650s Spider was wrapped in Trump’s “Make America great Again” campaign slogan which is believed to be the reason of the fire.
Some believe that plastering your divisive political allegiance on a McLaren 650s takes some balls. Either way, the owner of the car now might regret wrapping a supercar like that with Donald Trump’s campaign slogan.
Nobody was harmed by the fire, but the McLaren didn’t stand a chance of making America great ever again.
The McLaren 650S was introduced in 2014, according to the Los Angeles Times, and immediately dubbed the company’s next generation of “supercar.” The 650 stands for metric horsepower.
