Ashton Kutcher is American actor and investor and his current net worth is $230 million.
The son of Diane, a P&G employee, and Larry M. Kutcher, a factory worker was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
He is the younger brother of his sister Tausha, and the fraternal twin brother of Michael. Michael had a heart transplant a long time ago.
At the age of 13, Kutcher wanted to commit suicide to save his brother’s life with a heart transplant.
Ashton’s brother also suffers from cerebral palsy and is a spokesperson of Reaching for the Stars, the advocacy organization.
His brother’s cardiomyopathy made Kutcher’s personal life a bit stressful.
The future actor went to Washington High School in Cedar Rapids for his freshman year, right before he and his family moved to Homestead.
There, he attended Clear Creek Amana High School. While there he grew a passion for acting and starred in school plays.
His childhood changed when his parents divorced. While in his senior year, he broke into his high school at midnight with his cousin to seal money, but got arrested after leaving the scene.
After that, police sentenced him to three years’ probation and 180 hours of community service.
Thanks to that one mistake, he lost his girlfriend, anticipated college scholarships, and became ostracized at school and in his community.
He went to the University of Iowa and began studying biochemical engineering, motivated by the desire to cure his brother’s heart ailment.
Kutcher worked a summer job in the cereal department for the General Mills Plant, and sometimes he sold his blood in order to earn money.
Approached by a model scout at a bar, Ashton entered the “Fresh Faces of Iowa” modeling competition.
He dropped out of college after placing first, and won a trip to New York City for the International Modeling and Talent Association Convention.
Participated in an IMTA competition but lost to fellow actor Josh Duhamel, Ashton signed with Next modeling agency in New York and started appearing in commercials for Calvin Klein.
He began his acting career in Fox sitcom That ‘70s Show, portraying Michael Kelso. The show aired for eight seasons.
