Live Like Royalty In the Castle of St. Croix For Just $15 Million!
Would you want to live like royalty in the Castle of St. Croix for just $15 million? If money weren’t a problem, would you buy it?
When it comes to buying a castle nothing really compares with other luxury proprieties, because let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to live in a castle?
Castles are a symbol of power, of royalty, because before all those luxurious pads and expensive houses with pools, rich people lived inside the castles.
Owning a castle sounds pretty fairtytale for you, doesn’t it? But what if I tell you that you could own a castle in the Caribbean, a region nearly devoid of home-grown monarchies?
Now that is something you can brag about at your friends like: “Hey dude, did you know that I own a castle in the Caribbean?” I bet that can also be a great conversation starter.
This castle is actually located on an island; the Contessa’s Castle is located on an island named St. Croix.
The 10,000-square-foot castle is full of grand Moorish/Asian architecture located on a centrally-located hilltop on the East End of the island.
The Contessa completed the construction of the castle in 1989, but carefully continued to acquire land, and eventually assembled a 102-acre estate.
“Considered St Croix’s most desirable location, adjacent to the yacht club, its sheltered lagoon is just opposite the spectacular Buck Island national park.”
“The Castle invites its next owner and their vision, whether a luxurious island retreat, St Croix’s premier development opportunity, or a combination. This unique property is offered in its entirety for $15 million,” according to the listing.
All beaches are public in the U.S. Virgin Islands, but the castle comes with this jetty and beach area right next to the St. Croix Yacht Club.
On the inside, well, there it’s pure luxury just perfect for being the home of the Contessa. The castle boasts six bedrooms, six bathrooms, sprawling living areas, and, no doubt, every comfort a royal might need.
From the time it was finished in 1989 until her death in 2014, the Contessa Nadia Farber usually spent about four months-a-year at the Castle. Her husband reportedly doesn’t spend as much time here, so he’s put it up for sale. Also check out Crown Penthouse on sale!
