Most Expensive Items of Titanic Memorabilia | TOP 10
Who hasn’t heard about the Titanic? I think everyone knows the ship that went down because of an iceberg.
The tragedy has made us appreciate life and people, and now everyone wants a piece of that ship.
Let’s see which ones are the most expensive items of Titanic memorabilia.
10 First Deck Plan – $49,000
On the tenth place is the first deck plan which went for almost $50k at an auction in the United Kingdom.
This is one of the only three known Titanic deck plans that still exist today. Given to a couple who boarded the Titanic when it first disembarked from the UK, the first deck plan is one of the most expensive items of Titanic memorabilia.
The couple, Ida and Isidor Strauss, then the owners of Macy’s in New York got the first deck plan when they boarded the doomed ship.
This rare plan for the ship’s first class deck made £33,000 ($49,308) at Henry Aldridge and Son, a Wiltshire, UK-based auctioneer specializing in Titanic memorabilia, in 2011.
