Premiere: Sarah Jessica Parker’s First Collaboration with a Famous Designer!

We all know her, we all love her and we all thank her.

Sarah Jessica Parker who made history with her emblematic role in Sex and the City as a style icon, or as we like to call her, simply Carrie, made a huge step in her fashion career.

Apparently, her shoe obsession from the TV show was only a matter of time until it stuck to the real life.

So, the shoegal, the woman who lived in her shoes on the TV became just that in reality.

Sarah Jessica Parker, one of our favorite style icons, decided to take her love for shoes a step further and last year she teamed up with George Malkemus, the CEO of Manolo Blahnik, and launched her own collection of shoes under the SJP label.

But the highest point in her career as a designer so far comes less than 24 hours ago when the first collaboration of SJP with a famous brand was announced!

It’s official: Sarah Jessica Parker designs shoes for Tome!

Although it’s a relatively new brand(established nearly five years ago), the NYC-based label Tome, created by Ryan Lobo and Ramon Martin, has quickly become one of the most recognized and fashionable labels of the moment.

As we found out, SJP didn’t know the designers personally and she “just admired them from afar”, and further more she was always fascinated by the ballet references on Tome’s mood boards as she is a huge all-time fan of the New York City Ballet.

But the guys of Tome had quite a crush on her for awhile, as Lobo revealed:

I’ve personally been obsessed with her since L.A. Story

And as they are very fond of her fashion instinct and talent as Lobo further confessed – “Not only is she an actor that we respect and a woman that we respect, she has this incredible fashion legacy as well, and now the shoe line …”, it was really something completely different that won them over.

They instantly fell in love with the collection of single-sole pointed-toe pumps that Sarah Jessica Parker created for their fall collection, as Lobo said:

It was the most organic, simple thing

For Tome’s 2015 Fall collection, our beloved Shoegal designed four incredible pairs of pointed-toe pumps in turquoise, twilight, olivine and poppy with an exquisite detail – a silk faille stripe up the heel in a shoe’s contrasting color that has become a brand trademark.

The good news is that the exclusive collaboration will be available right after Tome’s New York Fashion Week show this week, from Moda Operandi.

What do you think about this exclusive collaboration?

Do you plan on buying a pair of shoes from the collection?
