Airbnb Teamed up With Pantone to Create an All-Green Retreat in London!
If you didn’t know, Airbnb teamed up with Pantone to create an all-green retreat in London just because the world needs more green! Check out the pictures of its amazing inside!
Yes, Airbnb partnered with Pantone to create something magical, an all-green place located just in the middle of London.
The team drew their inspiration from the Pantone’s 2017 Color of the Year called 15-0343 Greenery.
Basically they just built an entire home based on a color- green.
The “Outside In” project is a hidden indoor garden which was listed on Airbnb’s website and people were actually able to spend a night inside.
To create such a splendid interior, they first needed a space. The transformation of the Clerkenwell building into an indoor garden is absolutely marvelous.
Airbnb and Pantone teamed up just because they wanted to let people “live the color”, which is something you can sense right after the eye-catching door, designed to look like a Pantone Greenery swatch card.
After you step inside, the doors swing open so you get to see a part of a woodland forest as a reception area, with live ferns, moss, grass, and trees planted along stepping stones made of tree stumps.
“As guests cross the earthy threshold, they will be fully immersed in the outside, in,” says the Airbnb press release.
“They will be greeted by the house ‘groundskeeper’ with a fresh and healthy green juice, made locally and color-matched to PANTONE 15-0343 Greenery. “
“As they leave they can rest assured that the house is environmentally green too; all materials will be recycled where possible and spare plants will be donated to community gardens.”
After you pass by reception, two-bedroom Greenery flat reveals itself. The stunning place features an indoor greenhouse that doubled as a dining room, garden-like bedrooms with real turf as carpets, topiaries, soporific plants, a teepee for children, a hydroponics installation, a rainforest-themed bathroom, and a kitchen with walls filled with live vegetables and herbs available for guests to pick.
I think we found the perfect place to reconnect with nature, don’t you think?
But unfortunately was a temporary sitting, which welcomed guests for £200 a night from January 27 to January 30, and was also open for free visits during those three days.
All proceeds were donated to the American Institute of Graphic Arts. The unique Airbnb home, hosted by Pantone, was located at 4 Dingley Place, Clerkenwell.
