Manufactured by Rolex, and known for their resistance to water and corrosion, the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner is a line of watches designed for diving.
The model went into production in the year 1953, and was showcased at the Basel watch fair in 1954.
Throughout the next 40 years, the Submariner model from Rolex would suffer great updates and improvements such as an improved water resistance, new movements, and numerous small cosmetic changes.
The Rolex Submariner is considered “a classic among wristwatches”, and because of its popularity, this model became the subject of massive counterfeiting.
