The luxurious Cadillac Sixteen, with the incredible price tag of $ 3.000.000, is a stylish and high performance luxury automobile firstly presented by Cadillac in 2003.

This gold automobile offers a 32-valve V-16 concept engine ( exclusively designed for the Sixteen model ) with a  a four-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission. The engine also offers fuel-saving Displacement on Demand technology.

The DoD system, if you didn’t know, allows the V8 and V6 engines to ” turn off ” half of the cylinder for fuel economy. On the  Sixteen model, during light driving it will  shut down twelve cylinders, during strenuous driving only eight and under full acceleration it will awake the entire engine, so to speak .

The engine of the Cadillac Sixteen it is said, produces 1000 hp (750 kW) and 1000 ft·lbf of torque with no form of forced induction.

The Cadillac Sixteen‘s concept and design was related to the Cadillac V-16 from the 1930’s. The current design of this gold automobile is a combination between Cadillac’s current “Art and Science” design theme and the  Cadillac Eldorado from 1967.

This glorious luxury car is also know for some awesome luxury features like the steering wheel logo carved out of solid crystal and the Bulgari clock on the dashboard. Pretty awesome, no ?
