Romanians Mock the Rich Kids Of Instagram By Recreating Their Photos in Everyday Environments
In an attempt to show people that one can have fun without spending that much money Romanians mock the rich kids of instagram in a hilarious social campaign.
As a luxury enthusiast, you’re probably familiar with The Rich Kids of Instagram, a group of elite young jet-setters that travel around the world and flaunt their wealth on the popular social media platform.
They have tens of thousands of followers, plenty of cash on their hands, money they were either born in or because they’re already running highly profitable businesses.
The thing is they are not shy to show it off and spark both jealousy and admiration from the “less fortunate”.
In order to capitalize on that trend KFC Romania in partnership with McCann Bucharest launched the #LittleMoneyBigFun campaign in order to promote their cheap meal available for the first three months of 2015.
Besides the two TV commercials the campaign is mainly focused on social media, the brand inviting everyday people to post pictures of how much fun they can have with spending as little money as possible.
Although here at Alux we mostly feature the opulent and wealthy we have to give props to these guys because the entire campaign is hilarious!

We love the creativity behind most of these as young people show what life is really like for the average person out there.

The hashtag #DistractieCuBaniPutini (Romanian for #LittleMoneyBigFun) is intended to make fun of the popular #RichKidsOfInstagram trend and we’re pleased to see companies embrace even more social in their marketing strategies.
The campaign has its own tumblr page where submissions will be published and we are excited to see what’s next.
At the end of the day laughter is a form of luxury and we are happy to embrace it.
