14. Time Warner Center Penthouse, New York ($50.9 million)
Even though this penthouse ended up sold far less than its initial plan, that sale was still a record-breaking. This Time Warner Center penthouse once belonged to a Russian financier, Andrey Vavilov, until a new owner bought it for $50.9 million last year.
Three years ago, Vavilov listed this apartment on sale for $75 million. But no one seemed to be interested. Then he lowered the price to $68 million. Unfortunate for him, he had to lower the price once again. However, he still bagged a good profit from the sale since he bought it for just $37.5 million back in 2009.
The luxurious suite presents itself with a private foyer, library, media room, enormous master bedroom, all inside the 8,274 square-foot apartment. And there are also five additional bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms and a dressing room.
Located at 25 Columbus Circle, this luxurious condo offers stellar views of New York’s Central Park and Hudson River.
