Magneti Marelli is the main supplier for engine related electronic components for F1 teams which do not develop their own. It is the subsidiary of FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles). According to Forbes, FCA has $10.4 billion of market cap. And Magneti Marelli contributes to more than half of it: $7.6 billion.
The Italian company is one of the biggest in the world. More than forty thousand employees work at its headquarter in Corbetta, Italy, and worldwide 85 manufacturing plants, 12 research and development centers, and 26 application centers.
Founded in 1919, Magneti Marelli has also been developing electronic systems for World Rally Championship and all MotoGP classes.
