13. Life in Pieces on CBS ($192,500 per 30 seconds)
While the previous two TV programs have been around for a long period of time, Life in Pieces is brand new. This show just started last year.
Even though as the show begins, the tag line says “One Big Family, Four Short Stories”, the stories are far from short. The “short” refers to the family name. And the star of the show, the actor who plays Greg Short, is Colin Hanks.
Another big Hollywood name on this program is James Brolin. This is the first time ever first generation of Brolins meets second generation of Hanks. In Catch Me if You Can, the fathers worked together (Tom Hanks and James Brolin). And then in W, the sons did.
With such great cast, it should come as no surprise that Life in Pieces offers great quality of sitcom as well. On their first season, it hits more than 10 million viewers on average. Knowing this, CBS demands around $192,500 for one 30-second ads aired during the program’s commercial break. Will the number rise this season?
