Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, to James Chester Reynolds, a food wholesales, and Tammy, a retail salesperson, he is the youngest of four brothers.
In 1994 he graduated from Kitsilano Secondary School in Vancouver. Until dropping out, he went to Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
He started his career in 1991, in the Canadian-produced teen soap Hillside, distributed in the US by Nickelodeon as Fifteen.
