9. BMW
As part of a larger highly select group of auto manufactures, BMW is a German automobile, motorcycle and engine manufacturing company.
It was founded in 1916 by Franz Josef Popp, Karl Rapp, and Camillo Castiglioni.
Headquartered in Munich, Germany, the company owns and produces Mini cars and is the parent company of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
In 2014, the BMW group produced more than 2 million automobiles and approximately 120,000 motorcycles across all of its brands.
As I mentioned, BWM is part of a larger group of auto manufactures along with Audi and Mercedes-Benz, called ‘German Big 3’. The three are the best-selling luxury automakers in the world.
