13. His philanthropy work
Being a refugee himself, George Soros cares deeply for other refugees. One of his philanthropy works is giving around $500 million to refugees. Where do you sign up? Go found a business venture first.
Of course, Soros is not giving half a billion dollar away for free. He put that money as a form of investment into business ventures founded by refugees. He announced this during the UN Summit for Refugees and Migrants in New York, addressing the global migration crisis.
Besides that, Soros has tons other philanthropic funding. He has started this since the 1970s, when he only had less. He funded universities and other foundations as well for various causes.
And he founded his own charity foundation, Open Society Foundations, more than two decades ago. It does not just operate in the US, but worldwide. It has branches in more than thirty countries and spent more than $11 billion for human rights, education, public health, and many more.
