8. Amazing Fantasy #15 ($447,000)
Previously titled as Amazing Adult Fantasy, which might badly suggest consumed antics of a different sort.
This is the story of Spider-Man. He debuts in Amazing Fantasy’s final issue. Because the comic book wasn’t selling as they hoped will be, the book was cancelled.
They didn’t take into consideration the fact that Amazing Fantasy #15 sold above average. However, the fact that the book was cancelled that didn’t mean the end of Spider-Man.
In fact, the Spidey, got his own comic titled “The Amazing Spider-Man” just seven months after the Amazing Fantasy was cancelled.
The Spidey’ costume design was created by Steve Ditko. From there is all history, we all know what Spider-Man became after he got his own comic.
