You Can Only Join Tinder Select if You Either Rich or Sexy, Or Both
There is a secret, members-only version of Tinder that’s saved for the rich and famous, called Tinder Select.
The version specially made for models, top bosses and socialites because they also need to swipe right for someone, so why not a rich person like them?
The app is inviting the rich to join up, and each member is allowed to nominate a friend.
But there is a catch; each member can only nominate once, to keep the service from going viral.
The Tinder Select looks quite similar to the one majority of us are allowed to use, only that the orange flame is replaced with a blue S, and blue font, accoding to the TechCrunch.
If you are trying to search the app, you will met with a blue Tinder 404 error, like The Sun Online has encountered.
The elite members will be able to join with the normal app, so they can swipe between the rich and the bog standard singles too.
We already know that some of the celebrities have been found or known to be using Tinder, such as Lily Allen, Chelsea Handler, Lindsay Lohan, Katy Perry and Hillary Duff.
It seems that this app is for “celebrities and people who do really well on Tinder,” an anonymous source told TechCrunch.
But we are not sure that this app actually exists, because Tinder hasn’t commented if the private area for lucky rich people exists or not, with speculation suggesting the criteria for getting an invite could be based on how many likes a user gets, also known as their ELO score.
That ELO score is an algorithm that mixes factors such as the number of people you match with, how much you use the app, and the score of the users you match with.
The celebrity version of the dating app has a slicker design than the one used by the majority of other users, with Select members given the freedom to flick between the two.
It is believed to have existed for at least the last five months, with a Reddit user posting similar images last year.
“Does anyone else have this ‘S’ at the top of the main screen? It showed up this morning and said something about tinder select,” they posted.
