15 Incredible Jobs That Haven’t Been Invented Yet

Cast your mind back 20-years. Think of the jobs that are available now that definitely were not a thing 2 decades ago. There weren’t social media managers, podcast producers or even Uber drivers… These are all recent additions to the job market.

LinkedIn says, “85% of Jobs that will exist in 2030 haven’t been invented yet…”

So, what kind of jobs do you think could be a way of life in the not-too-distant future? Let’s find out in 15 Incredible Jobs That Haven’t Been Invented Yet.

Welcome to Alux.com – the place where future billionaires come to get inspired. If you’re not subscribed yet, you’re missing out.

Instead of reading this incredibly long and boring article, switch over to the fun video version:

With that said, let’s get started with number 1.

1

AI Ethicist

Whether you fear the infiltration of AI, or you’re excited about it, you can be assured that there are going to be and already are a lot of ethical challenges that need to be addressed.

Companies are already forging the way forward to train and hire people to fill this role.

It may be that the future HR office will be situated next door to the AI Ethicist office in large corporations. Analytic Insight reported that the role will involve being “responsible for offering sound advice on ethical AI practice and guards the organization against bias, accidental consequences, and ensures accountability.”

2

Drone Traffic Controller

Drone flyers are another example of a job that wasn’t here 10-years ago, and yet these days, becoming a drone pilot is a wonderful career path. These pilots are used in many industries, including photography, filming, agriculture surveyor, power-line inspectors, roof inspectors, search and rescue… basically to get into spaces that are expensive or difficult for us to reach.

As the need for drones increases, it will be a necessity to have adequate and safe take-off and landing zones, and for that you’ll need drone traffic controllers.

If this sounds exciting, it’s because it is. We’re not limited to becoming the doctor, lawyer or teacher our parents always wanted – there are so many incredible new opportunities just waiting to be discovered.

3

Avatar Relationship Managers

The word Avatar has several meanings, but for the context of this article – we look at avatars from a purely digital perspective.

The definition of avatar is “an icon or figure representing a particular person in a video game, internet forum, etc.”

Avatars can often find themselves in dangerous positions online, and as reported by Canadian Business, “as semi-autonomous avatars begin to inhabit the real world, we will need next-gen PR professionals to manage their public image. Also, to help them get out of trouble or dangerous relationships, sometimes with other avatars.”

Basically, an Avatar Relationship Manager is a PR Manager for your online presence in the VR world.

4

Human-Machine Integration Specialist

Aluxers, if you thought HR had a hard time getting a company to all get along and integrate well each other, then can you just imagine the task of trying to get humans and machines to work well with each other?

And how often do you have a full-blown argument with the printer, let alone a machine resembling a person in your workplace?

This future job will require a human to mediate relationships between robots and machines.

According to Cognizant, “a background in neuropsychology and engineering will be important for this role.” Reason being, is that humans will be dealing with a lot of anxiety, and they’ll need someone who can really help them through their fears and help them adapt to their new robot colleague.

5

Personal Data Broker

We already know that our personal data is never really deleted and doesn’t really go anywhere – and people are unhappy that their personal information is so readily, and freely available online.

There are some companies promising payment for data, but very few people seem to have success with making money off their searches yet.

This trend will grow, and the kinks will be ironed out. With time, and the improvement of data security regulations, we will be able to re-sell our personal data and we’ll need people to help us out with that… bring in personal data brokers. They’re like regular brokers, except they specialize in ensuring you get the best return for your personal data.

Until that time, if you’d like a jumpstart on protecting your data and keeping your online activity away from prying eyes – you need a VPN!

We personally use Nord VPN and they’ve teamed up with us to offer our community one helluva deal to keep your data safe. Go to Alux.com/vpn and start protecting yourself today!

6

3D Printing Architects

The speed at which 3D printing is developing is phenomenal. Organs, limbs, and houses will be the norm, and already people are finding great success in these areas.

Let’s look at architecture, and use the example given by Futurist Speaker, “an old patio deck could be automatically “eaten” by some sort of PacMan device, ground up and mixed with other materials, and used to “print” a new patio deck – all within a couple hours.”

And that’s just a deck… the possibilities are endless, and there’s an added bonus of being able to re-use the materials, ultimately eliminating excess waste. With that in mind, our next potential future job ties in beautifully.

7

Trash Architect

Currently, there is more than 7-billion tons of garbage on earth. That’s a ton per person, roughly… and that’s a tragedy.

People are using trash in innovative ways, whether its as building materials, shoes or clothing, but with time – there will be a need to have a person in charge of building an entire building from trash. This person would need to know the ins and outs of every waste material and how and where it can be used effectively and efficiently.

There is a Modular Adaptable Convertible (MAC) ward at the Fu Jen Catholic University Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan made from recycled materials. The wall panels consist of 90% recycled aluminium, it’s insulated with recycled polyester, and coat hooks and door handles are made from medical waste.

That’s just one ward, we can’t wait to see an entire hospital!

8

Augmented Reality Journey Builder

This is an exciting future career opportunity, and your imagination is your only limitation. You could start off with the basics, like creating augmented reality customer experiences where you could go shopping and never leave the house, or you could take people on vacation, skydiving or bungee jumping, all with just a pair of VR goggles.

What about checking out day cares or schools for your children? Visiting the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco or heading to the Cango Caves in South Africa?

This option is broad because there will be space for audio engineers, design work, art, psychology, engineering and so much more.

9

Telesurgeons

Medical Futurist predicts that by 2025, the global medical robot market will hit the $12.7 billion mark. That is a huge jump from it’s $5.9 billion evaluation brought forward in 2020.

The first successful telerobotic surgery was performed in 2001 on a patient in France by Professor Jacques Marescaux. Called the ‘Lindbergh Operation’, it was a telesurgery-assisted cholecystectomy which took 54-minutes to complete and encountered no complications.

It’s ever growing, and with the help of robots, intricate surgeries will be done worldwide at a fraction of the cost.

10

Memory Specialist

No more wondering where you left your car keys, or what you meant to get at the grocery store, with a simple chip – your memory could be acutely perfect.

Alright, it’s not for the basics… well, not yet anyway. Memory specialists will have the task of doing digital brain implants to help with things like paralysis and PTSD treatments. The chip would be able to remove traumatic experiences and help with psychological illnesses.

11

Rain Catchers

In our video, 15 Billion Dollar Ideas Up For Grabs, we highlighted the importance of water. As our population grows at alarming rates, so our water resources dwindle.

In that video, we said that “Anyone able to create, purify, manage, and transport water will see profits flow in.”

Ruling out all the regular ways to retrieve water, people are getting inventive. Harvesting water from the atmosphere is one option that is being tested and developed, and in due course, there will be a need for water harvesters.

12

Simplicity Engineer

Think about your average day and how much information you’re exposed to.

Google, as one example, receives 40,000 searches every second. According to Cloud Tweak, every day around 2.5 quintillion bytes of data is produced. That is a ton of information and it’s impossible to grasp even a fraction of it all.

A simplicity engineer would modify and simplify it all and streamline the information being passed through. It would also mean that tasks that would usually take hours, could be completed within minutes.

13

Dismantlers

They say what goes up must come down, and the same goes for businesses. Many industries and companies are going redundant, and the role of a dismantler would be to break them down with as little impact on the environment as possible.

It will take a skilled workforce to perform this function. You could find them working closely with simplicity engineers in creating new workspaces that are eco-friendly and use less of …everything, really.

14

Workplace Productivity Specialist

According to Gallup’s State of the Local Workplace, “85% of employees are not engaged or are actively disengaged at work, resulting in $7 trillion in lost productivity.”

Just considering the number of times people check their phone a day, which is 150 in case you were wondering, you can understand how this would impact productivity.

There is a dire need for help in this department, and a productivity expert would help employees focus on their task without distraction, and to create a space where they can be as productive as possible and put out excellent work in minimum time.

15

Vertical Farmer

It’s predicted that by 2050, there would be over 9.1 billion people on earth. Space will be a luxury, and the only way to grow food, will be up.

Not only will there be a need for vertical farmers, but there would be space in the market for people to offer personalized vertical gardens for the sole purpose of growing your own food. And yes, this is already being done – but it will become the norm rather than something cool and unique.

The lack of space would also be detrimental for livestock, so the genetically modified meat product market would grow exponentially, which will lead to another whole genre of wonderful future job opportunities.
