The Air Jordan XI was the first edition launched after Michael retired. This one is also the closest to the designer’s heart. Tinker said this one is his favorite design. He put it up with a hope that Michael would return to NBA wearing the shoes.
Initially, this edition was only made as samples for Michael’s comeback. Unfortunately that day never happened. Instead, he wore it in the movie Space Jam.
The rare pair of the Air Jordan XI was sold at $11,267 on eBay. It has been one of the most popular Air Jordans simply because of its color. Plus, its patent leather gave it a formal look.
It does indeed combine both suave and athletic looks. While today’s athletes are campaigning wearing sneakers on red carpet, this Air Jordan has started it off since 1995 when people wore this model with business suits instead of sportswear.
