9) Pair of Levi Strauss & Co 501: $60,000
I’m not sure you saw this coming, but anyway. On the 9th place is a pair of Levi Strauss & Co 501 priced at $60,000.
Don’t know if you knew this, but Levis Strauss and tailor Jacob Davis were the first to produce men’s work pants made out of denim, back in 1873.
Back then the Levi Strauss blue jeans were priced at $13.50 a pair, and now Levi Strauss became the most valuable jeans in the world.
Nope, is not the most expensive pair of jeans, although that one was also produced by Levi’s, but is close enough.
The makers bid $46,532 to buy back the collectible denim off an eBay auction, but the jeans manufactured in the 1880’s were sold to a Japanese collector in 2005 for $60,000.
