Neil Diamond bought a stunning beach home in Malibu, and only paid $7.25 million for it!

The artist, whose songs you heard on the radio since ‘60s has sold more than 120 million records worldwide. Some of his most popular songs are  “Cracklin’ Rosie,” “Song Sung Blue,” “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers,” and “Sweet Caroline,” which has become the Boston Red Sox‘s anthem.

So, now you understand how he could afford to buy such home.

The legendary singer-songwriter only paid $7.25 million for the five-bedrooms, seven-bath home, which is located in Encinal Bluffs, an ultra-luxurious Malibu community.

Back in 1997, Neil paid for his home in Beverly Hills $4.7 million, so it’s easy to understand why he would pay $4.25 million for the house he bought in the ’Bu: The Encinal Bluffs and Encinal Canyon area.

Did you know that ’Bu: The Encinal Bluffs and Encinal Canyon area is known for attracting famous people like it’s some kind of honey. This area has seen almost everyone from Daryl Hannah to Nicolas Cage to former Disney CEO Michael Eisner as residents.

The house that Neil Diamond bought was built in 1996 and it’s spread on 4,692-square feet, which is a waterfront retreat tucked into a private cove overlooking the waters of Malibu.

The residence has soaring ceiling and walls of glass, which makes the light and atmosphere of the indoor/outdoor California aesthetic felt in the house.

It provides with exquisite coastline views from almost every room, so we are sure that Neil will be enjoying this feature.

The home features an open floor plan with a spacious great room, gourmet chef’s kitchen, dining room, and, of course, a dazzling master-suite with dramatic ocean views and plenty of closet space.

There are also four additional bedrooms with en-suite baths.

Then there is the outside, which is a spacious patio that offers the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee or read.

An infinity pool and spa sit next to a barbecue area where any dinner party guest will enjoy the striking sunset views.

But the best feature of them all is that this house offers direct access to the beach!

The listing agents were Sandro Dazzan and Irene Dazzan-Palmer of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.

Do you think Neil Diamond’s $7.25 million house in Malibu was worth the price?
