The 7th Room At Treehotel By Snøhetta Is One of the Most Amazing Treehouses We Have Ever Seen!

Have you seen more amazing treehouse than the 7th room at Treehotel by Snøhetta in Sweden?

Completed by Snøhetta, this treetop retreat seems that it is floating among the forest canopy of pine trees for the Treehotel in Sweden.

One of the coolest things that you don’t see everywhere is that the entire underside of the building is covered by a life size photograph of the treetops as they looked before the construction. Pretty cool, isn’t it?

Located ten meters up in the pines, the treehouse takes visitors closer to the sky with the help of stairs and landings.

Treehotel was set up by Kent Lindvall and his wife Britta in 2010 for tourists visiting the Arctic Circle in search of the Northern Lights.

The business has another six themed treehouse suites, all designed by Scandinavian architects. This latest addiction designed by Snøhetta is the tallest and largest of the treehouses to date.

Nowadays nothing is worth your money if it doesn’t have great views, well good for you then because the tree house is complete with a breathtaking view of the Lule River.

All that is possible with the help of the large panoramic widows that face north and along with skylights in the bedrooms, the visitors will be able to watch the incredible northern lights.

The room has been designed with various ‘experience levels’ with 12 columns carrying the cabin, which reduce the load borne by the trees and its impact on the surrounding forest.

Resembling a traditional Nordic cabin, the wooden façade is “clothed” with pine boards. The surface is burnt to create a dark and maintenance free façade.

If you are already impressed by the exterior, wait to see the interior of the cabin!

“In the tall pine forest of Northern Sweden, where the tricolored tree trunks stretch up to the soaring crowns, a new addition to the renowned Treehotel opened in January 2017.

Hovering ten meters above the ground within the tree canopy, the Snøhetta-designed 7th room provides its guests with a breathtaking view of the Lapland treetops and the Lule River.

With focus on the surrounding nature, the design features large windows, a netted terrace suspended above the forest floor, and a tree stretching up through the cabin. The boundaries between indoors and outdoors are blurred, making the cabin part of the forest.”

The inside has floors made from ash wood, while birch plywood is used for the inside walls.

Having complementing light, wooden furniture, the interior has a mix of blonde Nordic contrast interior with the dark exterior.

The 55-square meter space is designed to create a place for living, for real! With two bedrooms, a social lounge area, bathroom, and the airy terrace, the cabin accommodates up to five guests.

The most spectacular level may well be the patio, which is made of a net. A natural pine grows through net and its branches spread out, allowing you to climb out and sit there, with the strong net safely below.

What do you say? Are you ready to book your next vacation there?
