14. Timothy Allen
Timothy Allen’s travels in Indonesia were what sparked his love of photography, and his first major project was to document an aid convoy in Bosnia.
An experienced travel photographer and public speaker, Allen contributed to the BBC’s 2009 series Human Planet, a widely celebrated documentary series which included stunning cinematography. Other recent works have taken Allen to the Arctic and the Himalayas.
Allen’s subjects are mainly people and destinations, rather than nature specifically, though it does feature in his work.
