Apple designer Marc Newson has made something truly remarkable. He created a special hourglass for Hodinkee that looks as majestic as f&%^.
An Apple designer made it but it doesn’t concern any of their products. Handcrafted as one of the most beautiful hourglasses we’ve ever seen, this one has a price tag of $12,000.
One of the best features about this hourglass is that instead of the classic sand, this one contains noisy nanoballs.
Yea, not many of you would think about buying this piece, even if a famous designer created it.
The hourglass is 150mm tall and 125mm across at the widest point. So if you are thinking about purchase it, make sure you’ve got room for it.
Instead of the boring sand that every other hourglasses feature, this one has 1.3 million tiny copper balls. The measurement of the nanoballs is just 0.6mm in diameter.
How much time it measures?
