8. He bought the entire world’s supply of donkey cheese
Donkey cheese is the most expensive cheese in the world. It is sold for over $500 per pound because to produce each pound, it requires three gallons of donkey milk.
Donkey milk is one of Serbia’s best natural reserves. There are many farms in Serbia which produce great quality of Donkey milk products, including donkey cheese. By the end of 2012, Djokovic bought one farm’s entire year’s supply.
The farm is managed by Slobodan Simic. According to him, his farm’s donkey cheese is sold up to $2,900 in open market. But he sold it privately for $576 per pound to promote the farm’s conservation efforts.
Djokovic did not eat them all by himself, of course. His family was opening a chain of restaurant in Serbia: Novak Cafe & Restaurant.
