Niki Lauda is a Formula 1 legend. He has been through it all, the ultimate high and low as a race car driver. The high was when he became F1 world champion three times in 1975, 1977, and 1984. And the low was when he suffered from a serious crash in 1976 Nürburgring race.
It was a horrible crash. He came close to death when his Ferrari car burst into flames. Luckily, he survived despite inhaling hot toxic fumes and suffering severe burns. This part of his life was brought to the big screen of Hollywood on Rush, starring Chris Hemsworth.
Four years ago, Lauda became the non-executive chairman for the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team.
