12. The Blacklist on NBC ($195,000 per 30 seconds)
Where you are hiring one of the top ten highest paid actors in TV industry, you need a backup fund from advertisement cost. NBC does exactly that with The Blacklist. The producers of this show are paying James Spader for $125,000 per episode. And the network charges $195,000 per 30-second ads during the program.
The Blacklist started in 2013. And the fourth season started this September. James plays Raymond Reddington, a mysterious criminal who turned himself in to the FBI and provided them information on other elusive criminals. Generous? I don’t think so. He definitely has something up his sleeve.
When it first hit the screen, the show’s average viewers rating reached almost 15 million. The number decreased as the years went by. But to be fair, most TV series suffer the same problem. On last season, the rating was around 11 million viewers per week.
Regardless, that is still a great number. And this Golden Globe nominated series will continue on until the Red mysteries are solved. Or will they be?
